Koh Mak Bike Tours
Two hours on two wheels with someone who grew up here. Old plantation roads, quiet beaches, wooden piers and the island temple. This is the Koh Mak most visitors ride straight past.
Flat, quiet and made for two wheels
Koh Mak is small, flat and quiet. There are no big hills and almost no traffic, so a bike is the best way to get around.
You can rent a bike and ride on your own, and plenty of people do. But you'll miss the stories: who planted the coconut trees, where the fishermen land their catch, which beach is empty at sunset. A local guide fills in all of that.

What you'll see on the tour
Every tour is a little different. It depends on the group, the weather and what you're curious about. Most rides cover:
Historic sites
Koh Mak was a coconut and rubber island long before it saw tourists. You ride the old plantation roads and hear how island life worked back then.
Beaches
You stop briefly at a few of the island's beaches, including the quiet ones off the main road.
Piers
These are the wooden piers where boats and fishermen still come and go every day.
Koh Mak temple
The island's temple is a peaceful stop and part of daily life for local families.
Coconut or coffee break
Halfway through you stop for a fresh coconut or a local coffee, your choice. It's included.
Koh Mak Muay Thai Camp
All tours start and finish at Koh Mak Muay Thai Camp. Please arrive 10 minutes early so we can fit your bike before we ride.
Monday – Saturday: 16:30 – 18:30 — cooler air and golden light toward sunset.
Sunday Special: 09:00 – 11:00 — a morning ride before the heat.
฿550 per person
The tour costs 550 THB per person. That includes a quality bike, your local guide and a fresh coconut or local coffee.
Groups are kept small on purpose, with 2 guests minimum and 5 maximum. That way the guide can actually talk to you and nobody gets left behind.

Before you ride
What to bring
Comfortable clothes, closed shoes or sturdy sandals, sunscreen, a hat and some water. Bring swimwear if you want a quick dip at one of the beaches.
Fitness level
No special fitness needed. The pace is easy and Koh Mak is mostly flat. If you can ride a bike, you can join.
Make a day of it
The afternoon tour finishes just in time for dinner. If you train at Koh Mak Muay Thai or the Tennis Club in the morning, the bike tour is an easy active-recovery session later in the day. It even starts at the camp.
